This sure was an unlikely source from which to see new packging of Transformers for the first time!
It’s probably been a long time coming, but someone with a mouth on them finally found their way into the manufacturing plant for Hasbro’s Transformers and other toys. Many photos and a sensationalized article have been released in PDF form by the Institute for Global Labour & Human Rights. While I have yet to read the piece in its entirety, I can probably guess what it says.
If anything, this should be a wake up call to all the selfish Transformerites out there that bitch about prices increasing and delays in shipments to their local stores. How many of you didn’t even know humans put these things together by hand? Did you think there was some sort of mother fucking Megatron machine out there that put it together for you? This is the reality of the retail circulation system that has been refined over the years in the United States and now worldwide. Hasbro is but a small part in the big machine, and they were due for their turn to have the skeletons in their closet rattled.
