Attention idiots: Kingdam 6 Starscream is a KNOCK-OFF and not a Diaclone

Knock off Diaclone starscream kingdam 6 robojet

You have got to be fucking kidding me

I came across this listing today on eBay by seller kill4satan.

Seems like a pretty killer price for a genuine 30+ year old pre-transformer Diaclone Jetrobo (aka G1 Starscream).  They have been creeping up past $500 for a few years now.  They are incredibly rare and it’s difficult to find them in great shape outside of Japan.

Except this isn’t a genuine Diaclone Jetrobo, it’s the ever-so-common 30+ year old Kingdam6 knock off of the original.  This thing is a piece of crap.  It’s made of even shoddier plastic than some KO’s today and the box is so blatantly a forgery of the original that even today, people are stupid enough to spend $600+ on one thinking it’s legit.

I used to scour ebay in search of auction listings attempting to cash in on the Kingdam 6 by claiming it was a genuine Diaclone.  I would report every auction I found.  This however, seems to be a seller that did not attempt to mislead his potential buyers, at least not completely.  He put Kingdam6 in the title, but then included Diaclone and Jet Robo.  If you read the box, the kingdam 6’s always say “ROBOJET” along the black side of the box, because Jetrobo was the actual name of the toy.  This can be confusing because the box still says “JET ROBO” across the top.  There are also two versions of this KO, a silver and a light gray version.  The silver version comes in a similar box but it has thundercracker’s box art. Kingdam 6’s are not worth more than $30, although idiots are still out there buying them for $100 at times.  This post is meant to help kick those people in the balls.

Kingdam 6 KO vs diaclone jetrobo

Hmmmm which one would I want to get...?

Here’s a list of identifying features of the Kingdam 6 KO if in the market for a Diaclone:

  • “KINGDAM 6” written in red on the wings
  • Thundercracker box art but the toy looks like Starscream
  • “JETROBO” written in English on the top of the box
  • “ROBOJET” written in English at a 90 degree angle on the side of the box
  • Lack of any Japanese writing on the box, especially across the box art
  • Lack of any old school Takara logo

Here’s a list of identifying features of an authentic Diaclone Jetrobo:

  • “DIACLONE” written in red on the wings
  • Japanese writing appears across the box art
  • Japanese kanji logo at the top of the box
  • “JETROBO” written in English at a 90 degree angle on the side of the box

That’s about all the help I can muster for any of you would-be super collectors out there.  If the guy who bought this fake from kill4satan could come forward, I would love to have a chat.  I mean seriously, who spends $600+ and doesn’t do a bit of research?  Kingdam Starscreams are a dime a dozen and you should really be ashamed of yourself.

PS: Dont’ forget there are OTHER official Diaclone Starscreams that seem strange but are completely legit.  Italian GIG Diaclone Starscream comes to mind, and it has bopper missles!  There’s also a Joustra version that has Thundercracker-esque box art.  These are pieces of beauty, and maybe someday… someday I’ll share mine with you.  Ta!

3rd party Masterpiece G1 Soundwave in the works?

Masterpiece Generation1 Soundwave trasnformer toy

ENOUGH WITH THE 3RD PARTIES ALREADY!

Again, I am hit over the head with another random group of retards making a new product that they have no business making. This is the result of no action taken against these rampant 3rd party toy manufactures. I can’t believe there is nothing that can be done about this. Sooner or later, I’m just going to start my own third party toy manufacturer making Dildotrons and Smokeitbots. Maybe then I can get arrested and help you guys catch the real culprits here.

That being said, the Soundwave looks kind of cool. Say it with me now: “WHO THE FUCK IS FANS TOYS?”

KO Diaclone Bluestreak inevitable

G1 Silverstreak knock-off

Let's get on with it then

KOtoys.com has announced a new batch of knock-offs.  This time we are ‘treated’ to a G1 knock-off of Bluestreak and Blitzwing.  Both of these figures have Diaclone versions, and Bluestreak’s is incredibly notable.  After seeing what has happened when Knock-offs, Diaclone, and G1 mix together, I am all but certain that one of the greatest tales in Transformers lore is about to be wiped off the slate.  No one wants a regular G1 Bluestreak anymore, the reissues were far more than enough to appease the appetites of us G1 fanboys.  The only reason worth knocking off this piece is to create one of the rarest and most misunderstood unicorns out there: Diaclone Blue Bluestreak.

Diaclone Fairlady Z No.07 Blue Bluestreak

A most beautiful sight indeed

By the way, one of these is on Ebay right now and it’s only got a small bid of something like $2000.  Think I’m kidding?

5 hours to go even!

To see how the auction fairs, check the link here.

I’ll be really sad to see the most argument-inducing figures ever become a shitty knock-off toy from China.  So sad in fact, that I might just give up and sell everything.  Cash in now before the ko’s become worth much more than the originals!

It seems that the only thing I write about anymore are these wretched knock offs… ba hum bug.

Ballzac auction of the week – White 4-Star Starscream seeker knock-off $500

White 4Star Starscream seeker knock off jet

I guess this guy is seeing green, not white?

From time to time, I feel it is necessary to bring to light the worst of the worst Ebay auctions out there.  Without apology, I must highlight the sheer absurdity of some sellers of Transformers.  While we all know that some figures have incredibly high price tags, it is humorous, sad, and obnoxious when unrealistic prices are slapped onto undeserving specimens.

Take this “Holy Grail” auction for a incomplete White 4-Star seeker knock-off.  This is typically labeled as a White 4-Star Starscream.  These have been pretty rare over the years and only the acute Seeker or Knock-off collector will be hunting for something bizarre like this.  So yes, the price for a good one should be relatively high considering it is a knock-off because of the caliber of people looking for it.  Although it is a knock-off, 4-star made a very desirable slew of figures during its day due to the wild re-moldings they applied to the source material.  I still have yet to ever see one of these, black or white, in the box.  Even a silver/gray variant has been whispered down dark hallways…

Ebay auction for white 4-star seeker jet

This is why Ebay auctions need comments.

To the auction.  Our would-be seller is going for broke and asking the obscene amount of $500!  Luckily for us, he allows a best-offer button as well.  PHEW!  Thanks my lucky stars, or I might be suck drooling for this rare piece!  Am I laying on the sarcasm thick enough for you, internet?  If you need a price check, I bought a COMPLETE one of these in perfect condition for under $100 just earlier this year.  $500?  Come on toy-central, you could’ve at least thrown in the free shipping.

Blog Dear Hasbro...

Dear Hasbro – GET OFF YOUR ASS

Knock off Henkei exclusive seekers Ghost Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp

No one would try to pass on these knock-offs as the real thing, of course not... These are Henkei Exclusive seeker knock-offs, NOT the real thing! These are available for purchase RIGHT NOW!

Dear Hasbro – WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING OVER THERE?

We know, we’ve heard it time and time again: You don’t like the fact that other companies are knocking off your figures, but there is little that you can do about it. Bummer

It’s ok, you’re a big company. You sell billions of dollars worth of toys to millions of boys and girls all over the world. You can’t really be expected to worry about some small factory in Asia knocking off every single one of your toys and turning a small profit.

As someone who has invested a small fortune into this hobby, I am fed up. If there was something I could do, I would do it!

I think it’s going to take the knock-offs crossing into the Botcon exclusives realm to actually get a legal response. When pre-production copies of the Transformers Collector Club figures find their way to Ebay, Fun Pub has the auctions removed. I bring up Botcon figures because that is what is next on the horizon: the Botcon sets are next to be ko’d.

What else is on the horizon? Well here’s a nasty list of rumored knock-off figures coming out way from the land of the Great Wall:

  • G1 Black Zarak
  • All 4 G1 Autobot Dino Cassettes
  • G1 Abominus
  • Botcon 2007 set
  • Botcon 2008 Shattered Glass Rodimus Prime

I understand supply and demand just fine, but these KO’s are messing with the supply and will in turn destroy the price.  Sure, everyone wants a chance to own the dino cassettes, but they are CRAPPY figures.  The only reason they are notable is their rarity and once you take that away, the legend is erased forever.

Transformers Headmaster Knock off Giftset

As cool as I must admit this set is, this has obliterated the value of any of these little relics for the Transformers collector market

These knock-off Henkei Seekers above are problems for TakaraTomy, and not necessarily Hasbro.  It does just show how widespread this problem is getting.  Even iGear seems to be getting away with Cybertronian murder, and all this stuff is plain as day PUBLICLY AVAILABLE!  Hey Hasbro, if you’ve had troubled finding the source, I’d love to help you.  I actually own about two dozen factory-made prototypes of YOUR products.  Wouldn’t you like to know how I get this stuff?  I’d be happy to tell you if it means you can put some sort of stop to the knock-off game.

Hey, if you are too busy to plug the holes in your ship then fine.  I’m just gonna jump right off and cash in my collection now instead of later.  I expect to see plenty of other long-time collectors following suit.
